Literary agent intern needed!
Some (but not all) responsibilities:
1. Maintain my query pile and send requests for manuscripts/rejections on manuscripts and queries.
2. You will be responsible for writing up reader reports on manuscripts that you request (you will be shown how to do this).
3. Queries and manuscript responsibilities should take anywhere from 5-10 hours a week. Sometimes, however, I will give you a few other jobs like researching editors, etc.
4. Please look at what I represent and make sure you’re comfortable and familiar with (the majority of) those genres: http://www.d4eoliteraryagency.com/p/bree-ogden.html?m=0
•This is a remote position.
•You can set your own work schedule.
•This is an unpaid internship, but if you feel agenting is the career for you, I will teach you some of the basics, basically you’ll be getting great exposure to the publishing industry.
•You will be trained by my previous intern to help you acclimate to the position.
If interested, please send an email with your resume to: Bree@d4eo.com (use the word “intern” in subject line)
I will be accepting applications until August 1st.
